Technical Report: PMU Analysis

چکیده

In [4], we have studied the statistical properties and mono-fractality of the power system time series, voltage magnitude (V), frequency (f), and phase angle (θ). The power system data was measured using three Phasor Measurement Units (PMUs) installed at Baylor University, Harris Substation, McDonald Observatory in the Texas Synchrophasor Network [1]. Our analysis of several data sets has shown that the three time series are non-stationary. Moreover, we provided an evidence to the existence of long-range memory in the power system data with scaling exponents higher than 0.5. The scaling exponents of voltage magnitude (V), frequency (f), and phase angle (θ) were approximately equal to 1, 1.5, and 0.7, respectively.
